Protecting Your Eyes

Polycarbonate is a lens material that is widely used for shatter-and-impact resistant lenses, and when combined with sturdy frame materials, makes for formidable eye protection.

There are hazards of sunlight and bright light that are harder to understand; namely, ultraviolet rays (UV) and Glare (extreme brightness). Protecting your eyes from these distracting, even dangerous elements is equally important to eye protection.

In response to the fast-changing COVID-19 situation, and the recent CDC recommendation to suspend routine eyecare, we are now open with limited staff available Monday through Friday from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm for patients with ocular emergencies/urgent needs and for those who need to pick up orders. If you have an ocular emergency or would like to pick up glasses, contact lenses or eye vitamins, please call ahead to schedule a pickup appointment at 916-443-3524.
